Autism-Spectrum Quotient (AQ)

The Autism-Spectrum Quotient (AQ) is a self-administered questionnaire developed to quantify autistic traits in individuals with normal intelligence. The AQ consists of 50 items, selected from the domains of the “triad of impairment” in autism (impaired social skills, impaired communication, and restricted interests), and from demonstrated areas of cognitive abnormality in autism (e.g. lack of imagination and great attention to detail).

The NTR introduced two subscales of the AQ: the Attention to detail score and Social interaction score, based on factor analysis (https://doi.org/10.1007/s10803-008-0538-x)
