    The Parental Bonding Inventory (PBI) was used to measure the adolescent´s perceptions of current parental characteristics. The PBI consists of 8 items and inquiries into parental characteristics as perceived by the adolescent respondent over the previous 3 months. The items are on a 3-point Likert scale, seeking to elicit the frequency of parental behavior.
